Trinity

The word for "God" has two characters in the Chinese language. They are separated by a horizontal line symbolizing the separation between heaven and earth.

The top of the character is like a covering or over-arching shape. And the bottom part of the character suggests a figure descending into time and space. I took liberties with this character to emphasize God’s triune nature; the overarching sovereignty of God the Father, God the Son descending and ascending between a torn veil, and God the Spirit as a circle of light or abstract lines of interference paint.
